Question about 2001 Ford Escape
OK I THINK I KNOW THE PROBLEM!!
GO TO THE DEALER OR A GOOD MECHANIC AND LET THEM LOKK AT THE DRIVE SHAFT THAT GOES FROM THE WHEEL TO THE TRANSMISSION. THIS IS MORE THAN LIKELY BROKE OR CRACKED!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT MEIN DID AND I TOOK IT TO FORD AND THE LEFT FRONT DRIVE SCHAFT WAS BROKE ACTUALLY IT IS JUST A RETAINING CLIP THATS BROKE BUT YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE DRIVE SCHAFT TO FIX IT.

I read at another site that this could be due to the rear abs sensor going bad. the guy had a lot of automotive industry experience.
