Check for a loose or damaged vacuum line that controls the blend door-it could be under the hood (look on the intake manifold) or under the passenger side of the dash-it might also be the climate control unit itself, either a leaky vacuum line or an electrical connector that is loose.

Heater only blows out defrost

The defrost position is the default for safety so that air always blows on the windshield in case of frost.
The most common problem is a faulty blend door under the dash.
In most cases the door must be calibrated with a scan tool if you replace it.

2000 dodge ram 1500 ram brake lights do not work, cruise shut off not working from brake

You have a faulty brake switch under the dash. Look under the dash near the break pedal you will see a small switch that is depressed when the brakes are applied. Replace that switch. If there is now switch then you will need to have it replaced by a mechanic as it will be located somewhere in or on the master cylinder and that is something you most likely don't want to mess with.
