White smoke is water / coolant getting burned. A common issue with GM trucks is a bad intake manifold gasket.

I use Felpro PermaDry Plus gaskets for this issue.

My Chevy Tahoe started blowing white smoke from the tailpipe. What could be some of the reasons it's doing this.

Only two reasons for this first is its below 0 outside the next is blown head gasket. Now thats WHITE smoke.ONLY.If it smells sweet like anti freeze that confirms head problem. black smoke is fuel, blue smoke is oil. sorry hope this helps TIM

98 eagle talon is over heating when i drive it and there a white smoke coming out of the tail pipe , also the reservoir is boiling and steaming

sounds like overheating caused the head to warp blowing the headgasket ? there are always reasons this happens ? bad rad, waterpump, fans not working, thermostate, so be aware that after you repair headgasket to fix what caused it to blow or you will be doing it again ? god luck autodoc01@live.com

1991 gmc sierra and white smoke

head gasket blown, or cracked head.

coolant is making its way to the piston and combusting with the gas.

1 or both routes are the only possible way.
