Question about 1985 Chevrolet Caprice
Once you have the battery cables off you will see a bolt at the base of the battery on the firewall side. Loosen this bolt and the plastic block will slide out away from the battery. This is the clamp that holds it in place. You may have to remove it altogether to get the battery out easily. Be sure to put it back on before you complete the job or the battery will bounce around as you drive and could easily short out on the hood or fender. hope this helps.
