I can hear something like a relay clicking somewhere. Once in a while the dash lights will come on for a few moments and I will have tail lights while they are on.

Why taillights will not work when I turn my lights on. However they work when I brake so i know it is not the light bulbs. Also my turn signals do not work even though my hazards do.

Tail lights and brake lights are two seperate things . There are different bulbs for each. When you put your lights on does the front parK lights com on ? Usually the are on the same circuit as the tail lights. Check for fuse first.

I have a 1989 Buick Park avenue. A month ago all of the back lights stopped working. Tail lights, brake lights, reverse lights.

Check your fuses underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the plastic cover over and there will be a diagram showing the fuse that controls the taillights/stoplamp. Pull the fuse out and replace it with the same number fuse and your taillights and brake lights will work again. If the fuses are ok, pull each taillight bulb out and replace it with a new bulb. Sometimes when one light bulb fails, all of them will fail.

try putting a new ground on passenger tail light, to see if this helps. as for the hazard lights check fuse. maybe the short in your tail light shorted out and blew the fuse. to add ground wire hook from bulb socket to any metal piece in trunk!! if this is your problem then, cut old ground wire off.

Fuse blows when lights turned on yet headlights ok. hazard lights ok too. it appears to be a problem with switch or wiring.

Tail lights OK too or are they blown. Could be centry lights working and no tail or running lights. Trace wires out of column to check for arc and also check wires at taillights, sometimes wires get damaged back there.

Have you checked the fuse, the HD lights are not on the same circuit as the tail lights, for safety reasons.
