The first thing is to look inside the aux socket to make sure nothing is inside the socket. then remove the plug from the rear of the socket and see if it still pops fuse, i think it wont, i think the problem is a bad socket, if the fuse stops poping then just replace the socket. good day.

When you say aux power whats not working, is it the power port, like the cig lighter port?
also is this fuse located under the hood fuse box or under the dash? and if theres a # slot what is it. i will look and see if theres only one aux power fuse i will list what it powers, good day.

I have a 94 Marquis,When I replace radio fuse it blows instantly I've replaced fuse for radio and cigarette and still blows All I did was used a new aux cord and now I can't even put a fuse in

If you removed the radio from the dash, a power wire may have become pinched when reinstalling and that could be causing the wire to ground out.

Cigarette lighter not working on my pontiac g8

Don't change fuses unless blown. Usually, in the G8, the aux power F14 20 amp fuse blows before either the F22 or the F13. I bet that's what is blown in yours--it's usually what blows in mine.

Sounds Like You Have An Exposed Hot Wire Somewhere. I Would Try And Change Cig Lighter Wiring Harness. Be Sure And Check Your Aux Outlets So That There Are No Exposed Wires. They All Run On The Same Fuse Hope This Helps!!

Blowing fuse on aux power

the fuse will blow up only if more current runs through it than it is rated
so the problem will be in the equipment you are putting in aux - plug
you can cheek the equipment power rating and then replace the fuse with higher rating it will work fine

My aux power points are not working. What is the

there are two auxillary power sockets. The console aux power socket is protected by fuse #4 in the battery junction box. The second aux socket located in the rear is protected by fuse #1 in the battery junction box. Both fuses are 20 amp fuses. The battery junction box is the fuse box located under the hood, usually on the driver side.
