It is the humidity as if you run your air in the morning or when it muggy/humid it will mist, this is normal. Tim

Why does my kia picanto 2013 windscreen totally mist up and will only clear when i put ac on hwen it clears i turn ac off then within seconds it mists up again

the windscreen fog is from humid air coming in from the outside
air conditioners work by removing the humidity from the air so if you close of the outside vent then the recirculated air inside the cabin eventually has all the moisture removed
that is why the windscreen clears because there is no moist air to condense on the cold windscreen
now you will say that it is too cold and that is why you turn it off
well try this -- leave the ac on and adjust the heater control to produce lukewarm air no fogging up and not cold
it is called climate control

Why does window on inside get wet mist out of vents smell antifreeze?

Very good possibility you have a heater core leaking. Have your cooling system pressure checked and find out.

My 2001 jeep grand cherokee has a dark mist/smoke coming out of the vents, and defroster. But, the heater works fine. What could it be?

DO NOT USE STOP LEAK!!!!!! That stuff has no brain so you cant tell it to plug only specific leaks. It will go for the easiest hole to plug which can be a water port in the cooling jacket for the cyl heads. replace the heater core. Fix it right or bypass but please please please do not use anything that will stop a leak

I have a 98 civic..white mist comes out of my vents when it is cold outside. I happens when i have it on internal or external vent. Since then my defog doesn't seem to clear up my from windshield and all...

heater core is bad, needs to be replaced as asap. check your floor board and see if it is wet under your matt. If not fixed you will ruin your carpet and it is not good to breath the vapors of the antifreeze comming out of the vents.

2001 Camry water on floor of rt side front and back, fog mist coming from ac vent, 90 degree weather, no rain. Back floor was pooling with water, no odor

Most likely the ac drain is stopped up. The drain is under the car near where a passenger feet would be. You can try gently running a pencil or something similiar to clear it out or compressed air.

My 1994 Honda Accord windows wont defrost and a white mist comes from the vent when on what might be the problem

If the white mist has a sweet smell to it then you need to replace the heater core under the dash. Hope this helps.

Heater coil chevy s-10

Replace the thermostat in the engine coolant system - should be near the water pump or in the top hose to the rad. Mist in the heater vents usually means a corroded heater core, that should be replaced. Be sure to use the correct mix of anti-freeze, to keep the boiling point in the cooling system correct. Many who live in the warmer states, thing that plain water is OK, but it is NOT. Antifreeze contains corrosion inhibitors that protect the engine cooling system.
