Question about 2000 Lincoln LS
Hi, fault code 36 is the driver's side airbag. See fault codes here: http://www.airbagsolutions.com/docs/codes/f/es.pdf
Often the cause of this code is the clockspring under the steering wheel. Is your horn working properly as well as other controls that may be on the steering wheel? If not, then I would replace the clockspring. Removing the steering wheel requires a special tool, but I can provide instructions if you would like to tackle this yourself.
