Check trans fluid when fully warmed up in park on a flat level surface. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean and put fully into the tube then remove it and read the level. Add fluid using a funnel in the same tube where the dipstick goes. Check diff fluid by removing the plug usually located on the part of the differential that extends towards the driveshaft, just above the rib cast into it., You will see a plug with a 3/8" opening that an extension or ratchet will fit into. Once removed, the fluid should reach to the bottom of the hole. It's full if it just begins to run out. (also done on flat ground). Also find the two plugs (usually fairly large on the rear part of the transfer case. (if 4x4), The top one is the one to remove to check level. Same as diff...full when it just runs out. Some use ATF and others use gear lube. Check owners manual for yours. When greasing the front end, don't forget the slider coupling on the front driveshaft if you have one. (often forgotten)

Find the filler plug for a 2004 chrysler sebring front differrential

The Sebring is a front wheel drive car. The transmission drives the two axles directly. You only need to check your transmission fluid. There is no differential like a rear axle style unit.

Just looking to add more transmissioin fluid.. not sure where

Underhood Check-check for transmission fluid at the transmission case screwed in with a dipstick. Most GM vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions have such a dipstick.
  • Engine oil--Check the engine oil level.
  • Coolant--Check the radiator coolant level in the reservoir.
  • Battery-- Visually check battery cables and connections.
  • Automatic transmission--Check the fluid level.
  • Master cylinder--Check the fluid level.
  • Power Steering--Check the fluid level.
  • Windshield washer--Check the fluid level.
  • Belts & hoses--Visually check all belts and hoses for wear. NOTE: In addition to the items listed above there are cases with some manufacturer's where odd components such as manual transmission/transaxles and front differentials many be equipped with a dipstick found underhood for fluid level check. If you are unsure of a dipstick on your vehicle, check with the owners manual. 89531p07.jpg

How do you add transmission fluid to a 2000 town country

The tranny fluid is added through the tranny dipstick (make sure it's not the oil dipstick). Fluid color should be red and the dipstick should have instructions on how to check level (car in park, engine at idle). Funnels are your friend here.

My 1993 Chevy S10 Manual transmission makes a clicking sound when I shift. I have been told that the transmission needs fluid to be added. How and where do I add transmission fluid to a manual...

You have to check under the Vehicle and locate the Fluid Check/Fill hole and plug on the Side of the transmission. Check your owners manual for the proper Fluid Type to use.

How do u fill the tranny differential on a 1996 toyota corolla?

It depends on if have you have a 3 speed automatic, 4 speed automatic, or a manual transmission.

The 4 speed and manual tranny share their fluid with the differential so if you fill the tranny you fill the differential at the same time.

The 3 speed differential does not share its fluid with the tranny. To fill or check the fluid on the 3 speed automatic you will need to get underneath the car. The fill bolt faces the firewall side of the transmission. It is about 4 inches above the differential drain plug. You will need a fluid pump and hose to get the fluid into the fill hole. The fluid you will need is Dexron tranny fluid.

    I have a 1994 Chevy S10 Blazer bad reverse

The odds of two different transmissions having the same problem in reverse is astronomical. I think your problem is in the differential. Also check for the proper fluids and additives in the differential.

On the passenger side of the diff housing is a 3/8 square female plug. It must be removed to fill the diff.
