There shouldn't be. There is the one on the firewall and there would be a sock on the pick-up in the tank. Why do you ask? What's the truck doing or not doing?

What can be the problem with my 1994 chevy silverado 2500 with the 6.5 turbo diesel engine once it reaches normal operation temperture when

If air gets into the Fuel line you will naturally have a problem. The fuel mix is incorrect causing a coughing effect, stutter, and hesitation. Hot air may expand in a line and create short bursts of fuel and then a gap whereby not fuel mist can ignite.

If the pick-up filter is located at the front of the tank and the tank is almost empty the pump would starve for fuel.

Need to locate and change the fuel filter on 96 6.5 turbo diesel

The filter is located in the valley of the engine next to the firewall. It has a black plastic ring that will snscrew to take the top off of the canister. It will have a black 1" plastic air vent on the cap to bleed the air out when a new filter is installed.
