Basic check. Open hoop, turn on the car to normal tempature. -Ask a person to help you drive but do not drive. "Apply emergency brake and Just shift to Drive and Reverse. So watch the engine . It twists badly or not? If just little. the engine mount is okay . If it twist a lot.>>> Replace the engine mount. (Check for transmission mount too)
Check out the Upper Suspension Turrets of the Struts, and/or, the Lower Suspension Arm anchor bushes/Lower suspension Swivel ball joints. The tightness of the nuts on the Steering Box mounting on the Cross member.
put the front tires on the back and see if it changes.
alot of times,if the suspension is defective it wears the tires uneven ,out of round.
check and make sure the wheel nuts are tight and torqued properly.
alot of techs use just the gun,and not a torque stick and overtighten the wheel nuts.
sounds to me like your front control arm bushings are broken. have your mechanic check the bushings in rear of the control arm. the ones that are right by the 3 bolts in the control arm in rear. those bushings brake and cause play in the whole assembly, causing a rattle. Its a black round bushing about 2 inches in diamater. its most likely all separated. common problem. Have him look at your stabilizer bar links also.
I had the same problem. It cast me lot money in changing few things but finally found. The side where the noise comes from look fro the supension arm it is connecting the main suspensionto the body. You have to change that or find silicon oil and spray around the bushes of the arm.
