Coeld be. If you hear it when you turn and feel the clunk. If you are hearing it all time you drive, quit driving it. It is really bad . When these let completely go they can cause some serious damge to the vehicle and transmission.

What is a CV joint?

A wobble in the steering is more likely to be one of

- loose wheel nuts
- loose hub nut
- worn steering tie rod outer joint
- worn steering tie rod inner joint
- loose steering rod universal
- worn steering knuckle ball joint

Out of these a worn or loose steering tie rod joint is most likely. If you can, jack the front of the car up and rest it on axle stands, NOT just on the jack, then have one person shake the front wheel back and forth while holding it at 9 and 3 o'clock, while another holds the steering wheel still. Then look at and feel each joint to see if you can locate the looseness.

Knocking noise

Probably a bad "CV" joint on one of the front axels. The CVs go bad every now and then and are not too expensive to fix. Any auto shop can/will do the repair. You will need a new axel for left or right front.

Have the CV joints checked on the front axle shaft ends. When they wear out they knock on acceleration.

Steering wheel violently shakes.

that is usually caused by bad engine mount this condition usually changes the distance of the cv joint and the differential which cause the cv joint to shake. also check your ball joints.

Rh inner cv joint loose and vibrats new cv axel same problem is still there

Might be a front end problem, like a worn tie rod end, upper and/or lower ball joint. Better have it checked, if one of them break, you'll loose the steering.

Subaru cv axle noise?

Do you know if this car has ever been recked? if your going thru that many axels makes me think something is not running true, a wheel bearing would not make a cv joint in a axel go bad. Did you replace the axels? or did you have them done at a shop, and did you see the old axels after they were replaced. You got bigger problems than a wheel bearing. From what i can gather some thing is bent or your getting bunch of bad axels witch i dought.

Knocking sound

my solution to you is ask some one to check out your cvc joints cause once cvc joints go bad it starts to sound like your engines knocking but its the joints that are right next to the tire on the axel get under your car and look right behind the tire if there is a rubber here's a image of what the rubber on the axel should look like if its ripped or torn or even shredded thats your problem
