I have a 2001 daewoo tacuma but can not start it a red light keeps flashing from where the immobiliser is but i dont have a code what options do I have

There is sooo many problems with the 1.8ltr engine (2001) ..for example the oil ports in the cylinder head casting are way too small.. this causes clogging and obvious lack of flow and then lack of power due to compression ratio going out the window.. I've re-built quite a wee number of these puppies.. including my wife's own car..so I heartily recommend the below..
1/ THOROUGHLY FLUSH EVERY LAST BIT OF GRIME, DEBRIS, LACQUERS & OIL OUT OF ENTIRE ENGINE..
2/CHANGE FILTER & REFILL WITH SEMI-SYNTHETIC 15/40 OIL..
3/ OIL AND FILTERS MUST BE CHANGED EVERY 3,000 TO 6,000MILES TO MAINTAIN ENGINE (IF NOT BORING OIL PORTS AND QUITE SUBSTANTIAL WORK & EXPENSE)

This should give immediate effect, but you may also consider the CRANK/FLYWHEEL SENSOR.. It's NOTORIOUS.. Along with the IGNITION COIL PACK.. CONSTANTLY CRACKING HIGH TENSION LEADS..Etc...

my engine will not start the the immobilizer light is flashing the key does not have a chip in it but the owners manual said the kay has a code but the car startit before with the same kay my car is hyundai accent x reg year 2001

you should have an override number which you can then use to disarm the immobiliser. im not 100% sure on the process but im sure your dealer should be able to help

SOURCE: need to change rear brake bulb on daewoo tacuma

open rear hatch and remove 3 screws down edge of lamp assembly gently pull assembly out and then you can remove globe sockets from lamp assembly to change globe

look for large wiring loom under steering column that is patch harness going to immobiliser module,
two black large connectors that look the same disconnect and isolate connect original loom connector from top to bottom body harness original connector and presto no more immobiliser its bypassed vehicle now works.

Code P1852 and P0700, malfunction light on. Automatic Tacuma 2litre 2000 model


P1852 is a solenoid code for the transmission and P0700 is just a flag to let you know there is a transmission code stored.I am not familiar with the car and dont know the specofic transmission will try to research and see what I can find.

2001 daewoo lanos immobiliser problem car wont start. entered radio security code. immobiliser dash light is still on.


Radio code has no bearing on the immobiliser at all.

Normally it is down to the key not recognised. Are you using the same / usual key as before? If not then try original or another key as it may be the transponder in the key you are using.

If same key or no joy then remove the lower Black plastic steering cowls on the column (normally 3 or 4 screws) you will expose the barrell assy, on the end of this you'll see the transponder pick up ring. Disconnect from loom, apply silicone grease to pins and reconnect then try starting.

If still no joy, disconnect positive terminal off the battery, touch the lead to an earth point for 2 to 3 seconds to defuse and reset ECU, reconnect and try again.

If still noy joy you will need a garage as special reading equipment is required.

my daewoo nubira sedan year 2000 model will not start foe some reason i try to hit the button on my immobilizer to switch it off but it does nothing and that red light near the dash keeps flashing anyone no how to solve this problem?
