Ignition control or spark control moduel they are both the same thing just depends how the part store has it listed. They get old ,heat up and go bad, Go to the auto parts store, they are easy to replace just a few screws. Just make sure you use the right size tool to take it off and put it back on..alot of time they use torks fittings..

1998 Lincoln continental horn keeps going off unexpectedly

Nothing wrong with the car. It is getting a signal that mimics your remote's "panic" signal. Someone in your area may have an alarm with a remote controlled snooze. If the car was at fault the times would be random.

What would cause the horn of a car to go off unexpectedly?

a horn pad problem on the steering wheel can cause this but its rare to happen on any Mazda car. a horn relay that has shorted out will cause this to happen. you will have to find the relay and pull it out the horn will stop.

The Fuel Pump relay fuse is either shorting out or becoming too hot that it is pushed out of the socket, causing the car to shut down. What's causing this

If the relay had been loose in the fuse box that can cause the melting. i've seen fuse panels where the conectors are actualy loose in the box so as you push relay in it is actualy forcing the connector out the bottom of the box. use a small screwdriver to push down gently on each connector in the fuse box to see if this is whats happening. relay are plentiful at the local wrecking yard or buy new. the either work, dont work os sometimes stick on. this will cause battery drain overnight . if the connector is loose in the box you'll have to lift the whole fuse box to try to push it back in. if it wont stay in the fuse box may have melted and will need replacing unless u can handle moving all the wires to another relay spot if the box will allow it

Wheres the safety shut off sensor on the transmission

There is not such a sensor on the transmission. That the engine shuts off could be due to a faulty crank or cam sensor.

What wills cause a jeep Cherokee to shut off unexpectly. Seems to have something to do with fuel delivery.

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Yes you may have a problem on the fuel supply. It can be a faulty fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter. There can be rust or dirt inside the tank as well and I suggest that you drain the fuel as a first course of action. After that, replace the fuel filter. If it still fails then go for the fuel pump replacement.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

The cruise switches off unexpectedly then turns on after depressing the clutch

There is a switch on the clutch and the brake pedal that shuts the cruise off when either of the pedals are depressed. The retaining springs that hold these pedals UP are sometimes weakened with age and the pedal sags and shuts the cruise off. Two solutions: Replace the springs or adjust the switch so it isn't as sensitive.
