My guess would be the (TPS) Throttle Position Sensor
By monitoring the output voltage from the TPS, the EMC can determine fuel delivery based on throttle valve angle (driver demand).
Hope this helps you???

Sound like dirty fuel filter. Replace your fuel filter first. Located on the frame rail on the drivers side. If problem still persist, check fuel pressure from fuel pump to fuel rail. 30-40 lbs with vacum attached to the pressure regulator. (driver's side engine compartment) and 40-50 lbs with vacum removed. If the pump doesn't pass this test, replace pump. One of these should solve your problem. Hopefully for you, its the filter...

I think you have established that it is getting fuel but I guess what I would do is check into the throttle body itself.

Acceleration problem

Could be a clogged fuel filter, could also be a slight crack in the throttle body gasket. get a spray bottle with water in it, set it to mist, while the vehicle idles, spray around the base of the throttle body, if it bogs down replace the throttle body gasket. Just curious, was it doing it before you changed the plugs and wires? If not make sure you have the firing order correct.

When accelerating on the free way at a steady flow the car starts acting like it doesnt want to pick up speed and then it cuts off i have change the carburetor, fuel pump, distributor cap, rotor, wires,...

have you checked the fuel filter. if bad car will not pickup normal speed, it will bog down. not enough fuel getting to engine. especially on hills.

96 Jimmy bogs down when I accelerate hard

Sounds like the fuel filter is getting clogged. It will flow enough fuel for normal driving, but can't supply fuel for full throttle acceleration, causing the engine to bog down. Replacing the fuel filter with a new one should fix the problem.

check you vacuum advance for the disrtibutor , it maybe advancing , throwing your timing off at high speeds. Also check fuel injectors they may need cleaning throwing off the fuel to air ratio.
