Why was i having troble starting my car? was having trouble starting my car, however if i continue to turn the ignition switch it would finally catch

Could be low fuel pressure. If fuel pressure is lost when engine is not running, it can take a minute or two to pump back up.

I have a 2002 sunfire... and i have trouble turning it on. Once it startes it is stuck there because it will not turn at all. Once it is in this position the wipes wont work, the windows wont roll down,...

sounds like you need a new ignition, reason nothing works cause once it doese turn over n starts the car the tumbler is stick in the starting position jus not far enough to keep the starter engaged but far enough the it still trying to go trough the start process which cuts the power to everything else till the ignition returns to the on postion

did you try jus turning the ignition far enough to when the starter engages jus let go of it so the car doesnt start and see if everything else still doesnt work if it dont i belive its the igniton

also with out starting it or engaging the starter as in just turning the key on to get power does anything work?

I have to press the gas pedal all the way to the floor for it to catch speed i can't jus normally press the pedal because it will not catch speed fast enough.

Sounds like it may need a tune up, you are not firing all cylinders...clogged fuel infectors, bad spark plug or cables

Sounds like the stater is spinning but it is not making contact with the flywheel. I guess it is time for another starter.

Engine turns over . car intermittently catches then shuts off. when it does start it will run most of day if used continuously.

Sounds like your fuel pump may be going bad. You need to check your fuel supply past the fuel filter when it does not start to confirm.

1995 isuzu just replaced timing belt not working

Valves are probably bent , you should turn the engine by hand first , if it moves it is ok , do not try starting with the key
