The motor has shorted out. you can test this off the battery directly.
Check for a warranty or a recall on this item

My new fuel pump only primes when wired direct?

Well you need to get out the DVOM - digital volt ohm meter an check for battery voltage at the fuel pump relay ! if you replaced it you saw the holes it plugs into in the relay / fuse box ? Put you volt meter on the 20 volt scale , hook the black lead to the battery negative or a good engine ground an take the red lead an touch - don't stick it in an spread the terminals . Two of the holes should have battery voltage ,if not check the EEC power relay ! If you find voltage at two holes change the meter to ohms , leave the black connector on a good ground an touch the red to the two holes left , one should be open or OL on the meter , this is the control side from the engine computer . the last hole should show a few ohms resistance , this is down through the wiring to an through the fuel pump to ground . You have two different wiring circuits , control an load side , load side being power to the fuel pump an control side is power an the engine computer supplying a ground energizing the relay closing the contacts in the relay sending battery voltage to the fuel pump. Test don't guess !

My bilge pump will not work when i push the switch on the dash. It works when it is hooked direct to battery. Why is this

The switch could be defective or there could be a defect in the wiring between the switch and the pump.

Were is the fuel pump relay on a 91 geo tracker also when I hooked power to the fuel pump it dindnt run

When you hooked power directly to the fuel pump, it may not have been grounded properly. If you're running power directly to it, and it is grounded properly, it should work fine, unless the fuel pump itself if bad. There is something called Ohm's law. it says you have to have power and a ground to transfer electricity. I am at a loss on where the fuel pump relay is. If the pump won't work with direct power, I can't imagine it being the relay.

Fuel pump only works if I hook it up direct to battery

I would look for a fuel pump relay, you may need the manual to find out where it is.
or bang on the relays till it starts running, sometimes you can swap relays around if they are the same.

Have a 1992 chevy 1500 truck fuel pump works fine when hooked directly to the battery, replaced fuel pump relay, still no power to the fuel pump, engine turns over fine

maybe check the fuse for the injectors...i was being stupid and did this, if that fuse is missing it wont work even if your fuel pump works fine. i think its labeled inj a+b.

There is no power to the fuel pump, the fuse is good, also if I hook it up direct it works

what are you by-passing in order to hook it up directly? If the fuse isn't bad but it runs if you put wires directly to the positive and negative wires at the pump, then I'd say it's a bad ground connection between the ecm/fuse box and the pump.
