Maybe from changes in temperature because that causes change in tire pressure

Vehicles with tire air pressure sensors

When you are checking the air pressure on your tires, especially on vehicle equipped with tire pressure sensors, remember to check the spare tire. I have seen many vehicles where the owner has the tire pressure light come on and think it is defective because the spare tire has low pressure.

My 2008 Envoy has the tire sensors that connect to the computer .. I recently had two tires replaced and was having no problems but since the weather has gotten colder when I first start the engine the...

Air pressure in the tires drops when it is cold (as much a 5 PSI), as you drive they heat up and that makes them fall within the correct pressure limits to turn off the low tire pressure warning. I suggest you get an accurate tire gauge and air your tires up to 32 PSI all around.

The engine light means you have a code stored that can be read.
A place like Autozone will read it for free.
Only with the code can we tell if it is serious or minor.

Engine lights come on with an arrow pointing down what does that mean

is it an engine light or is a flat/low tire pressure light? If you TPM ( tire pressure Monitor) on vehicle each sensor lets you know that tire pressure is low, if pressures are good( check when cool, yes cold tire pressure) the batteries in each sensor could need replacing, l could be out to left field but an engine light with arrow pointing down doesn't seem right.Good Luck

The tire pressure guage is on. All tires have been checked and filled with air. Now the light won't go out. How do I reset it?

Some pressure monitor systems won't reset until the car has been driven for a distance at highway speeds.

If the sensor continues to stay on, then you may have a faulty sensor. It will be tricky to diagnose which tire has the faulty sensor though

Change engine il and tire pressure message how do i rest

Must have codes for check engine light cleared with scan tool. Check all tire pressures and road test up to 35 mph. Tire message should clear if low tire was problem. If light for tires remains then possible radio frequency sensor problem. Sensor replacement may be necessary. Sensors have alkaline non-serviceable batteries. If battery is dead sensor will have to be replaced.

I have Toyota with TPMS so I have some experience... things that come to mind off-hand are:
- Low tire pressure
- Pressure sensor damaged during replacement of tires

Check the pressure on the tires.... if the pressure is good, then likely one or more of the pressure sensors were damaged by the shop who installed the tires, have them diagnose and replace it/them (at their expense!). Good luck.
