My 1984 toyota celica supra just started to not accelerate very well. could only get up to 40 km/hour. so i stopped on the side of the road and it started to idle very low around 500 rpm so i shut it off then restarted it but then it would start then stall right away because of the low idle. what could be the cause of this? any suggestions would be much appreciated. thank you

Gas mixed with What? It shouldn't have done anything to the fuel pump. More likely the throttle body, injectors or plugs are fouled

Toyota celica supra

Yes the points on the relays need to be clean. If the fuel pump does not turn on when you turn the key on the relay is bad.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 1984 toyota celica supra??

Have you looked under the vehicle, usually near the seating area, check on both sides, if still unable to find, located the fuel tank and then trace the lines forward this should run you into the filter.

Engine will not start where is connection for finding diagnostic fault codes? are these flash codes when connected?

sounds like a fuel pressure problem. no flash codes for that year that will tell you anything. make sure the fuel pump is working.

Rough Idle on 1984 Toyota Celica Supra

You said you replaced the plugs - did you use the toyota platinum plugs? I found out the hard way that even the platinum plugs from bosch or any other kind of platinum plug just doesn't work right. Yes, they are more expensive from toyota, but they can make a difference in the way the engine runs.
