If you take the VIN number to the Chrysler dealer they can look up the key code and cut a key. Most locksmiths use special tools to crack the door open and either push the electric rear hatch button or the unlock button ob the door. If any of your windows are open a crack, your can reach in with a long stick or stiff wire and push the button yourself. If there is no power in the car you can take the front grill off , reach the hood lock mechanism, open the hood, and jump the battery to power the locks.

If you were to lose your keys to your car/motorbike/van, or if for example a vehicle you purchased only had one set of keys for some reason, then your Auto Locksmith will be able to not only provide you a duplicate key, but also importantly ensure that only the keys that are in your possession can be used, removing all others from the motor vehicle's database so they will no longer start the car.

Lost key to car. what is my cheapest fix

Get a key and ignition switch set from parts store or junk yard. youll have to have a programer to program new key to car though when you install the switch. Or take it on trailer to shop for install.

I lost the only key

Hi,
If the car does not have an electronic theft prevention type a ignition key a locksmith can handle it.
It if does. then contact the dealer with the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). They may be able to make a new key for you. There may also be some "Key Tags" with your owner's manual packet, with
key duplication numbers on it. The dealer may require you to show some proof of Ownership, such as a title, etc.
Hope this helps,
Mark

Have misplaced the keys to my locked 2004 YukonXL and need to open a door.

I think you will have to call a locksmith. The bad thing about this is, it might trigger the antitheft system and lock down your engine so it won't start. Not even with the right key. It's possible the locksmith can use the VIN and duplicate a key that will work.

My keys got locked inside the van . Can I use the numeric keys to open it even if I don't know the combination?

Hi,
If you don't know the combination you're not going to have much luck there.
You might have to call a locksmith to undo your door. But I would also suggest getting a duplicate key and keeping it in a safe place. The duplicate may not can be used to start the vehicle, but it can be used to open a door if this happens again.
Hope this helps... Good luck.
