Do the procedure to change water pump on 2007 vibe same as 2005 vibe?


My reference shows 2004-2008 as being similar for the Vibe. Some minor changes occur from year to year as from model to model, but the basic procedure for this remains the same in those model years.

Does a 2005 Pontiac Vibe have a timing belt or a timing chain?


There were two engine codes for the Vibe that year.
Both of those possible engines run a timing chain setup.

How do you move belt tensoner on vibe . See no scoket location1


On the tensioner there is a molded on nut. Look at this picture and you will see it. Place a ratchet/socket on this to remove tension on your belt by rotating the assembly.

2005 Pontiac Vibe: when does the timing belt need to be replaced/checkied


There is no timing belt on this vehicle. Vehicle was produced with a timing chain which generally does not need service through the normal lifespan of the vehicle.

we had the computer code p2716 on our 2005 pontiac vibe -shift solenoid. gm says to replace the pcm before you do anything else.  we tried this and it works.
