2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee - Radiator/coolant issue: There is a quarter-sized hole in the in plastic where the upper (return) radiator hose connects to the radiator itself. Is it possible to repair the hole and make it air (steam) tight w/o having to replace the radiator?

Yes. Not looking for steam tight. Screw a piece of plastic just bigger than the hole using silicone. Like the seal for a thermostat.

How do i remove radiator from my 2002 jeep grand cherokee overland 4.7 ho v8

On older jeeps, the upper radiator support is held by torx screws, T30, if I recall, but maybe T27.
Drain radiator, remove upper and lower hoses, disconnect transmission cooler lines, remove upper radiator support panel, and hood latch if necessary. Check for obstructions-radiator should be free to lift out. Funny that the radiator support and hood latch were both held by torx screws, but were different sizes.

My sister took the manual out of the jeep, want to know where to put coolant?

The coolant goes into the radiator, but you normally fill it from the radiator reservoir which is a plastic jug shaped container that hose runs back to the radiator.10_3_2011_4_37_14_pm.png

2001 jeep grand cherokee laredo overheating. replaced fan relay and thermostat, and its still overheating

suggest that you rent a pressure tester from auto zone or advance auto and preform a pressure test on your cooling system. follow the instructions on the test of pressure to your cooling system, also check for coolant leaks onto the ground from radiator area. may be bad water pump, broken hose, heater hose, upper radiator, lower radiator,or a bad radiator itself. a simple pressure tester will reveal the coolant leak. but make sure to follow the instructions with the pressure tester,as you can damage your coolant system otherwise. thank you for choosing fixya.com

Engine was overheating need to know if a tube is supposed to go from the radiator to the engine coolant

you should have one upper radiator hose, one lower radiator hose, a small diameter hose that runs over the top of your radiator starting from the radiator cap going left across the top and then to your coolant reservoir and another from your thermostat housing to the firewall for the heater core the upper radiator hose should also go to your thermostat housing. the lower radiator hose goes to your water pump This hose routing is only for a 4 liter straight 6 I'm not sure about the V8 or the 2.5 liter motors

2003 Grand Cherokee Overheating

This might help you as it looks as though you have an electric fan to cool , there should be a sensor on your radiator hoses upper and lower.they are actually switches triggered by the coolant temperature in side the hose. While your Jeep is sitting idle, shut off the AC as it adds to the heat off the engine not to merntion useing more gas. you should make sure both high and low speeds on the coolant fan work. good luck if this does'nt help check out the post, with more, on the 1995 Jeep heating up..
