You surely need a new battery. a car may crank but will not start due to low battery voltage. My suspect is that the battery may have enough ampere to crank the motor but the voltage is too low to run the electronic system. if you have a meter, check the voltage as you crank the car. This is a possiblility but it is a rare occurence.

Why does my car not have any power after i boost it and drive it?

Bad battery and/or alternator. Once it is running, test voltage coming from alternator with a multimeter. Should be over 13 volts. If not, alternator may be bad. If alternator is sending over 13 volts, battery may be bad. Possible bad connection between alternator and battery, but not as common.

My Blazer 1996. Has a power problem that is making me crazy. It does not start at times unless I boost it. The lights and radio work but the car will not crank with out a boost. I have had the generator...

please change the starter relay on the firewall. there are three to five lined up...small black boxes. find the one that controls the starting system and replace it to see if it works. it sounds like a lazy relay. also hook it up to a scan tool and make sure your system ahs 12 to 12.6 volts before starting and 14 plus volts at an idle.

04 dodge durango no start and no electrical power

Charge up the battery (or have it charged) and then seek out a local parts store that does free charging system testing like Autozone or O'reilly auto parts, have them test the system, but off hand you have an Alternator problem or a voltage regulator issue. Get the proper diagnosis done before you replace any parts.

Always need to boost the jeep when it's cold, the batterie and the alternator are fine fine and the jeep runs very good once started with a boost and when warm starts good don't need a boost...

I would be suspicious of the starter itself. Metal shrinks and expands as it gets cold or hot and all metals do so at different rates. My suspicion is that something inside your starter is doing that. Applying extra power ( boosting) is compensating by providing extra juice to bridge the gap and start the vehicle. Double check the wiring at the starter but if all the wires are tight then I would replace the starter. Hope this helps.
