My extended cab door on driver side will not open

SOURCE: I have a 2000 F350

I have a F-150 , year 2000, driver's side back door won't open.

SOURCE: quad cab rear door closed and wont open

what you have to do is make sure door lock is in unlocked position put a flash light inside the door to see you need to get a screwdriver into the release spring area try to pry up on the hook area that flips over the piece thats mounted to the door jam it should release sounds like you need to spray wd or blaster in the lock assembly return spring not kicking back

if the door can not be opened by pulling on the latch rods from where the handle is located with a pair of pliers then the inner door panel will have to be removed to gain access to the latch rods to open the door and then replace the handle. the only bad part of that is the inner door panels normally do not come off in once pice that is able to be reinstalled without being cracked or completly broken. sorry for the bad news.

There is a slot where the cable is suppose to lock in. When the cable
end brakes it falls out of the slot. I put cable over slot and duct taped
in place till i get new cables. There are 2 cables 1 on top and 1 on
bottom.

get a slim jim... and try to unlock from the outside window.. if not the slim jim should hit the release mechanism inside the door panel to open the door
