Question about 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

1 Answer

I have a 1997 Monte Carlo Z34. We replaced the turn signal switch and had to replace the power steering pressure hose. Now the car will not start it will crank but no fire. Any ideas or suggestions? It was running fine when we had first pulled it into garage to start work on these things.

Sound like you have wires disconected somewhere
check with areas of last repair sensors on engine (crank / cam)
or lower sterring colum area also check the fuses one may have burnt up
if you did not remove battery conection prior to repair

96 Monte carlo z34 won't crank over unless I jump

Sounds like a problem with the key switch, probably the security system. You may only have power to the fuel pump when the engine is cranking.
Is the security light on or flashing ?

How do I remove the steering wheel trim and replace the turn signal switch on a 1998 monte carlo z34?

If this critter has an airbag in the steering wheel, and I'll bet it does; then you should have this done by a dealer. Pulling the wheel off and replacing the multifunction switch underneath needs to be tended to by a trained person.
