Might be coming in the upper part of the door, check to see if the door is closed all the way and not loose, and check the door rubber. And make sure window is up all the way, all it takes is for the window to be a little open for water to come in...

When driving my 1999 Buick Lesabre in rain water will appear in the floor well on passenger side in the back. The water comes from under the carpet as much as an inch. The 4 surrounding sides of the floor...

Hey Gary!

I have noticed this condition in a few cars and have found the solution to be one of the following in each incidence ;
Cause :The drain plug in the floor board was dislodged / missing.
(assume that someone had spilled or inundated the rear compartment floor pan at one point and dislodged the plugs to relieve the excess?).
Correction : reseal the plug holes (bung holes).
Inspection proposal ;
Lay on the ground and inspect the underside of the suspect area of the vehicle. Note the 2.5 inch diameter simetrical holes with black rubber plugs protruding them.
Note condition and presence of plugs.

The front right inner fender (plastic liner that isolates the splash from tread water exhaust) is compromised , allowing the water to flow from the tire to the interior rear floor pan via the hollow thresh hold under the doors (assuming they have not rotteed out yet) to the point in the upper structural pillar between the front and rear compartments.

Solution ; GREATSTUFF the area and paint with a matching paint color.

Water in the rear passenger well

you mean the trunk? If so it's probably just the seal around the trunk lid. That rubber thingy.

Water leaks onto the rear passanger side floor after every rain. what is the fix?

there may be a few things causing this, first make sure there no open holes in floor, then check trunk seal and make sure its not coming from trunk, next would be the back window,take a water hose and spray diffrent areas and check for leaks inside,could be also rubber around the back door or rust holes in wheel wells of rear wheels,

I have water on the rear floors of my 05 volvo s40. I car does have a sunroof. the water seems to be puddling around the rear floor vents.

There are 3 possible sources. The windshield (although this would puddle under the front carpet as well), the sunroof and the condensation from the climate control (evaporator). The first thing I would check is the external drain for the climate control. This is best accessed under the car.

Water leak rear floor driver's side as well as floor back of passenger. Drain lines from sun roof are clear. No rear end accidents. Any ideas? So far dealer cannot find a problem. 2007 Camry Hybrid

Roof drains may seem clear,but are the drain hoses,actually on the roof window frame.
Remove the head liner to be sure

Why can't the dealer use a dye type test or smoke tester. The smoke doesn't just have to be used for EVAP, that it was designed for. And you wonder why I do all my own work?

2006 mustang water leaking rear floor

Hi , Its leaking water on the passenger rear floor? It could be the heater core leaking and running down the floor board to the rear of the vehical. Do you smell antifreez or see moisture build up on the windshield ? does the car seem more "humid" inside?

Water on rear floor mats. Foot well for left rar passenger fills up with water. Not coming thru door seals or open window. Car does not have sunroof.

check the tops of the inner wheel wells in the trunk or anywhere around them. These cars are known for this. The water will run down to the floor from behind the seat.

2003 BMW 530i water in rear floor after it rains

you are no doubt correct about the cause of the problem ,but the soloution?? well if the water can gat in then let it out ??stupid ?? i know but what i would do to prevent rust and corrosion which is a inspection failure then i woul drill two 1/2 inch holes either side of the rear floor well on the outside so whatever way car is parked on camber of road the water can run out

Wet rear floor

I had a similar issue and found that the two rear drain holes for the sun roof came off and any water was running down into the trunk and also the rear floor was always wet. I pulled the rear of the roof panel down to expose the rubber tubes, re-seated them with glue so they would not come off again.
