Check the belt tension, it could be noisy because it is slipping on the pulleys. If the tension seems ok, you can buy a belt dressing spray which may quieten the operation, but it is probably better to replace the belt as it seems to have become hard and polished to make it squeal. Good luck and please rate this solution.

Why is my multi v belt still bouncing around after fitting a new belt and tensioner on my 2005 skoda superb diesel

Check all pulleys and idler pulleys sound like maybe a bearing gone that would make it noisy

Loud squeaking.

To me, I think I am hearing a dry bearing.
However, an old worn out belt can make the same sound!
You could take off the belt and try spinning the pulleys to hear which is noisy, or you could use a mechanic's stethoscope to find out.
A mechanic's stethoscope is a really long screwdriver or metal rod about 2 or 3 feet long that they put on different parts (put the handle end to your ear) to hear the noise each part is making.
If your belt is good, try the alternator bearings.
There is also an idler pulley or maybe 2 that could be noisy.
Be blessed.

Noisy engine, probably due to tension bearing adjustment?

They can be noisy, my rodeo sounds like a diesel. But, it might be something else, belt tensioners usually only tap, one time every rpm, valves might make more racket, rods sound like a snare drum under neath the car, check the oil, the sound should be coming from the front of the engine. Water pumps, alternators, ac comp, all can be noisy. Turn off the ac when listening. Watch out for the fan. A long screwdriver or a piece of wood with ear against the end will quickly find a noisy part.

Whinning Noise when cold.

Timing belts don't while because they don't slip! Could be the water pump/alternator belt.

2004 Mitsubishi Montero Sport LS 65,000Miles. My belts seem to make a lot of annoying, loud sound. Especially after it rains. Is this a timing belt/chain issue or one of the other belts?

I have a 98 Montero Sport, whenever my belt sqeaks I check the tension and usually thats the problem. Tighten them accordingly and it should solve it. As for the timing belt, mine is a belt not chain. First time I had it changed was at 100,000 miles and the dealrship said I was cutting it close ><
