Turbo is not kicking in,air hose is sucking air through split, does anyone know what the hose is called

the waste gates on trucks with turbos are activated by a vac line , if there are cracks in this line or it becomes unhooked for any reason , and the turbo will remain bypassed (waste air) vac hose on cars and trucks is different than other fluid hoses because it needs to be thicker than other hoses or it will collaspe and not alllow any air to go thru it , most auto/truck supply places have vac hose it's sold by the foot , make sure its for vac or youll have problems with sides colapsing in

Heater vacuum hose is plugged off on purpose:

Depending on the make model and year, the vac hose would go to a port on the intake manifold that provides engine vac when the engine is running.

4wd high will not engage please explain?

You should have the older vac actuator. Make sure all the hoses are connected, and you don't have any leaks. The actuator can be tested with a vac gun. One hose engages and one disengages. It should only take 20 lbs of vac to move the actuator.

2002 f150 5.4 triton 160000 miles fx4 supercab turn knob to for high no power to front but light comes on?

Sounds like the transfer case is signaling the GEM OK, but best to check it.
Jack up and support the front of the truck with jack stands ( and chock the wheels, normal safety precautions )
Turn the key to the on position ( do not start ).
Turn the switch to 4H, after the clicks are done and the cluster indicates 4x4, check the front drive shaft.

If the front drive shaft will not turn, it could be a problem with the vacuum motor or the vac solenoids, or the mechanics in the front axle.

If the front shaft will still turn, the problem is in the transfer case.

I am leaning towards the vac motor on the front, the vac lines, or the vac solenoids.

After the test above, lower the truck, start the truck ( wheels chocked, person have the parking brake on, and foot on the brake, safety precautions ) , and have someone turn the ESOF switch to 4H. The vac motor is the disc on the front axle. This should move when 4H is selected.

You can check vac on the pink and blue lines.
Pink is 4WD vac on the hose.
Blue is 2WD vac on the hose.
Should be able to draw vac on the line, and have it hold with a mighty vac or other vacuum pump & gauge.

CRUISE CONTROL ON MY AU FALCON FORTE DOSE NOT WORK. IT INDICATES THAT IT IS ACTIVATED BUT I CAN NOT SET IT TO A SELECTED SPEED

hi on some uk models with cruise control thet as you know trips out as you press foot brake ? one of the prob's with what you describe ? indicating operative but not setting ? just have a look around brake pedal area near the pushrod that pushes master cylinder/power vac you may find either a vacuum small diam hose connected fom power vac to a small cyl nearby that as brakes operated this cyl which has hose trips off and releases c/control ? or your car may ? have electric solenoid switch adaption that works as brakes applied and trips off c/control so you are looking for any vac leak audable ?? or elec device/switch that may have fault or is stuck in off position resulting in c/control being told brakes pedal pressed ?? the uk galaxy has the vac type c/c and the vac mini hose splits renew pipe and working !
