Question about Lexus GX 470

1 Answer

Had some body work done on my Lexus GX470 and when I got it back it was riding on the frame. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the height sensors. 24 miles later, the BRAKE, ABS, Both VSC lights and the skid control light are on.

Sounds like you need a couple more sensors. Abs light/brake may be on due to abs wheel sensor. VSC would be a steering angle sensor. skid control has its own sensor. I assume your accident also involved the wheel or wheels (some type of impact or hard jarring). The sensors arent cheap and they are easy to fix, they need to step up and do the right thing

Which fuse in the fuse box is for the power windows

Check fuses on panel, then check all connectors, check for kinked or frayed wire, then lastly, the circuit board for your panel! Not an easy task as you are checking for continuity between connections. If its the circuit board on your arm rest I would suggest a junk yard for a known good operating board. Make sure they have some type of guarantee as these are expensive new! Hope this helps Interior Fuse Box Location 2003 2009 Lexus GX470 2007 Lexus GX470 4 7L V8
The video above shows how to replace blown fuses in the interior fuse box of your 2007 Lexus GX470 in addition to the fuse panel diagram location. Electrical components such as your map light, radio, heated seats, high beams, power windows all have fuses and if they suddenly stop working, chances are you have a fuse that has blown out. If your GX470 is experiencing electrical problems, you should always check the fuses first, because they are relatively easy to check and cheap to change. Some Lexuss have multiple interior fuse boxes including in the trunk - the video above will show you where the interior fuse box of your 2007 GX470 is located. If your GX470 has many options like a sunroof, navigation, heated seats, etc, the more fuses it has. Some components may have multiple fuses, so make sure you check all of the fuses that are linked to the component in question.

If you need to replace a blown fuse in your GX470, make sure you replace it with one that has the same amperage as the blown fuse. If checking and replacing the fuse for the component in question doesn't work, we recommend seeking assistance from a trusted professional mechanic. They should be able to figure out if the component needs to be replaced or if there is a short or some other problem with your GX470.

My GX470 Lexus is bouncing bad, like riding a horse. Took it to the dealer several times and they couldn't find the problem. Anyone know how to fix it??

Usually any uncontrolled oscillation like bouncing is caused by a bad shock absorber (or a broken one). Have them look for broken mount / perch or whatever they may call it. Could also be a broken shock rod.

this sounds like a height sensor is broken in the rear....ur best bet is to bring it to a qualified service repair center an have body codes pulled on this....if the height sensor is the prob it will be a easy repair since they r located on the control arms which have easy access...this will also cause the vsc lite to come on since the height control is incorporated into this for ur nav screen its sounds like a seperate problem but codes can also be pulled for this also....i would say for the nav screen to take it to a lexus dealer, im sure they have seen this prob before so u wont be paying extra labor time for them to find the prob

you have a failed height control sensor. there are two on your vehicle in the rear. they need to be removed and checked for being frozen and or corroded inside.
75% of the time it is the left rear(driver side). on an 03 it will only be covered if you have an extended warranty.
