SOURCE: 2005 f350 blows white smoke when on the throttle hard.

Could possibley be a coolant leak, but no guranteed, if too much fuel is being injected for the amount of air entering, diesel fuel can cause a white smoke. I would check the air filter first. Is the boost gauge working, and if so how many PSI of boost are entering the engine?

SOURCE: heat

The heater in your car depends upon a flow of hot coolant going through the heater core in order to get hot air into the car. If the heater core is partially plugged, it will restrict the flow. If you have a head gasket that is putting exhaust into the cooling system, it will eventually get into the heater core. When this happens there is no coolant in the heater core to make the air warm. If the water pump vanes have corroded away the result will be very poor coolant circulation causing the heater to not blow hot air. If your car is equipped with a heater control valve that is not functioning properly, the coolant flow will be restricted. One or a combination of these factors is likely the culprit in your case.

if the car is not overheating, the thermostat is working fine.... replace or flush the heater core multiple times to try and eliminate sediment build-up.

Have 1995 ford econovan petrol had stem seals replaced 2 years ago motor idles perfect runs really well not losing water oil still clean blowing white smoke from exhaust mainly on mainly on acceleration

Blown head gasket. Pull the spark plugs. The cleanest one is where it is blowing or sucking coolant. Sorry. White is water/coolant. black is gas. bluish is oil.

Stem seals replaced. still smoke from exhaust after sitting all night ok after warm up

Could be left over residue burning itself out. Could be the seal is not properly seated and it starts to smoke then after it warms up the seal heats up and forms a better seat by seating itself. Give it a few days and if problems consists reapply the seal and tighten all bolts evenly at a little at a time

Our van blows out smoke when i start the engine when its cold. its a 96 ford econovan. we got new valve stem seals put in and that didnt fix the problem either

I suggest that you have a compression test done to see if its bad rings or not.But then again I would have to know whether or not its a whitish color smoke or a heavy dark smoke,And then I would also have to know if it smells like oil burning or excessive water vapor.A good diagnostic shop would do all the tests required to give an informative diagnostic.
