Ok,sounds like a fuel issue, otherwise it would'nt start at all. you may have a bad fuel pump,or a clogged fuel filter,or a bad pressure regulator on the fuel rack. the cheapest thing to replace is the fuel filter. the fuel pump has to pump 180 lbs of pressure to the engine for it to run can have it pressure read if you choose. or it may also be bad gas, water in fuel,in that case if you suspect bad fuel {water} clear rubbing alcohol added to your gas tank,1 bottle of clear, not green ,will dry up the water in fuel in about 30minutes. or if you suspect a clogged fuel injector or injectors, you can add sea foam to your gas tank to unclog them in running time, about 20minutes. your issue is most likely the above mentioned solutions.

1988 Buick Century 3.8 stalling issue starts back up. fuel pump/filter replaced it stalls out randomly at all driving conditions. I am stumped on this one. anyone have help for me on this?

Does it seem to do it more once it runs for a bit? It could be a bad DIS module. They are known to fail once they get hot. Either that or the ignition switch located at the top of the base of the column.

1988 buick regal stalls and restarts stalls and restarts

Sounds like a relay or coil failing.
To proceed you would need to find out if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel pressure to the injectors when it won't start.

My buick runs but after about 20 minutes it shuts off and wont start it not to hot and has plenty of spark and gas

Check the EGR valve the next time is shuts off within 20 minutes. The valve should be opened. If not replace that valve

Buick century stalls after running a few minutes then won't restart and ABS light came on

First thing you should do is have your diagnostic codes read. Since it stalls after a few minutes, you do not want to take the chance of getting stranded, so it would be best to either borrow a code reader, have someone come by and check the codes, or have it towed to a repair facility. You can likely borrow a code reader from a national parts chain such as Auto Zone or Advance. (you may have to leave a small deposit to make sure it is returned). They will show you how to use it and will interpret the codes for you. I believe with the 1996 you can plug up an OBD II reader...(the year is kinda on the line between an OBD I and an OBD II). This will likely reveal your stalling issue as well as the ABS issue. good luck! I hope you find this to be very helpful!

Check the prrimary and secondary resistance on your coil. Also check the resistance of the plug wires and plug gap.
