Question about 1994 Ford Mustang

1 Answer

Car was fine and had plenty of power. Took it in for a tune up and now it has hardly and power. The shop that did it said they replaced the plugs and wires and found a vaccum line off so they put it back on. It runs fine while in park or nuetral and revs up and seems to have plenty of power, but while driving it, if you jump on the gas it seems to fall flat on it face like nothing is there. I unplugged the vaccum line that they put back on and it made no difference. any help would be appreciated. THANK YOU It has a 5.0 High Out put motor to should scream but dont

The first help I can give you is to tell you to never tke it to the shop that tuned it up for you. Not that they made a mistake, I own a shop and things happen but the fact that they aren't correcting the problem is what would gets me. Since they replaced the ignition wires, you might want to check your firing order. I gave you below a picture of where each spark plug wires should go on the distributer cap. Double check that they put them on correctly. This is where I would start but it could be many other things but this would be the most common in my opinion. I hope this is it for your sake and good luck.

When stopped at traffic light or just stopped with motor running it has a jerking motion, have just had one of the fuel injectors replaced, it looses power when driving has plenty of power taking off

If you have a check engine light on, pull the code. Jerking while stopped is often a sign of needing a tune up, but it can be other things too. If it's been a while since last tune up, change plugs and wires.

Town and country van started hesitating and engine(?) exhaust(?) back firing? it has plenty of oil, wondering if it's a fuel filter?

Hello, I have seen a lot of these vans back fire because of bad plugs. The reason being two of the back spark plugs are very hard to get to and when a lot of shops did a tune up they don't replace them. So it probably needs them 2 plugs changed for sure.
