Your pump may have problems and is drawing too many amp. Also check your plug in connector at the pump. There were problems with some of those and GM offers updated ones. The relay should carry the load from a normally operatting pump. Have you replaced your fuel filter lately? It may be getting plugged and really working the pump.

Which pin at the relay socket , pin 85,86 or 30 ,87 ? Here check out this video ! GM Fuel Pump Relay Testing

No Power to coil with ignition on. Power at ASD Pin 86. power to Pin #3 at computer. Fuel pump works

On the ASD relay, what are the other pin numbers? Is it 85, 86, 87, & 30? If so, usually pins 87 and 30 are the power side of the relay, and 30 is the power feed to the relay. It should be hot at all times, probably from a fusible link just off the battery. Pins 85 and 86 are usually the coil side of the relay. Sounds like the coil side is working, but no power feed to the relay.

Have a 96 tahoe 5.7 replaced the fuel pump, harness, filter and relay got it to work again now it isnt getting fuel to the plugs is it possible the injectors have gone bad?

Fuel Injectors possible, however the problem may actually be with the Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator.
Before deciding if it is the Fuel Injectors Check this first. This could be clogged or malfunctioning.
The Fuel Injector Pressure Regulator is available at:
(NO! I do not work for either store/company)
Autozone Part #800-315 for around $45.
Advance Auto Part #217-3074 for around $90.
Advance Auto Part #23043 for around $46.
Adavance Auto REBUILD KIT Item #9710 for around $29.

Truck will npt start

check to see if your getting spark, if you are make sure your getting fuel. if no spark check coil primary resistance it should be from 1 to 3 ohms. if your not getting spark it can only be a primary ignition problem not a secondary one, example plugs, plug wires. if you are getting spark but no fuel. pull fuel pump relay and jumper wire together #30 and #87 teminals diagnally across from each other under the relay you just pulled out good luck!!!

1996 chevy tahoe fuel system

check for voltage at the pump. If it has 12v there, (and a good ground) then pump is bad. there may be a pump fuse on the fuse block (can't remember) but if you find it has blown, the pump may be getting ready to fail. If fuse fixes the problem, replace it and carry an extra with you, then change the pump.

Tahoe won't start

Is your security light flashing? If your Tahoe has the factory ant-theft system, if the security light is flashing while you are cranking your anti-theft system has been activated. It is common for the Tahoes to wear out the ignition lock assembly, lock cylinder and the ignition switch(electrical) which is attached to the lock assembly. I have replaced all three parts with great success and solved the no start problem on several GM trucks.

The most common problem with these vehicles is the fuel pump. The pump should run for a few seconds when you turn the key on before you crank the engine. If you don't hear the pump run, go to the fuse/relay box under the hood. Look at the diagram on the inside of the lid and locate the fuel pump fuse and relay. Check the fuse to see if it is blown put it back if OK or replace it. Unplug the fuel pump relay and use a paper clip to jumper across terminals #30 & #87 where the relay plugs in. If the fuel pump starts running, you should be able to hear it run at the back of the vehicle, where the tank is. If you don't hear the pump running, hit the center of the tank dead-center with a rubber or wooden mallet. If the pump still doesn't run, see if you can get to the wires going to the fuel pump and wiggle them. If you hear the pump run, try starting the engine. If it starts, replace the relay, if that was the problem or the fuel pump AND relay if the fuel pump was the problem. WARNING! WHEN YOU UNPLUG THE PAPER CLIP. IT MAY BE HOT!!!
The fuel pumps AND connector are big problems with GM trucks. If you replace the fuel pump(which is located in the fuel tank), use only the factory pump which you can buy at your GM dealer or an auto parts store that sells Delco parts. If the fuel pump used the small square four-pin electrical connector, replace it with the fuel pump. The latest GM/Delco fuel pumps will come with the new plug which you MUST change over as it is now a flat four-pin connector.
GOOD LUCK!
