Depending on what year and model you have you may not be able to turn the system off. You may need to buy the air pressure sensors and have them put in your new wheels. You should be able to call your local dealer and they should be able to tell you if you can or can't turn it off.

Why would my car shake no matter what rim and tire I use?

you don`t say if you had the wheel/tire balanced. you could have damaged the CV joint on that side causing a binding in the bearing.

I purchased a 2004 GMC Yukon Feb 7th, and the "service tire monitor" light on the DIC has always been on. What is the problem with it and can it be fixed?

This light comes on when tire pressure is low. Each wheel has individual sensors to monitor tire pressure. You have an issue with one or more of the wheels/sensors. Take it to a reputable repair shop and have the system tested. You may have one or more bad sensors or the vehicle may not have any sensors equipped if the original rims are not installed when you purchased it..

Have a 2009 Malibu, tires are excellent condition. warning light came on "low air right front tire, put air in and week goes by and comes on again, we take it to Sears to check it and also rotate the...

Either someone is letting the air out of your tire or it has a leak. Obviously the shops you have taken it to are incompetent if they can't find a leak. A good shop will submerge the tire and rim in a vat of water and look for air bubbles. If you have alloy rims, occasionally the rim may have "porosity" where the air bleeds out thru the center of the rim between the tire beads. A good rim shop will have sealant that is sprayed or brushed on the rim center to seal it.

I put new rims on my 2010 dodge avenger and now my yellow (!) keeps flashing. my tires are not low. how can i fix this

your car had tpms tire pressure monitoring system in each rim you previously had on. they did not get put on the new rims so your car thinks your tire pressure is at zero. so it freaking out. you need to get those sensors on the new rims and reset. that will solve your problem

My tire pressure symbol thats pops up but my tires are good

tire monitor system has a sensor in each rim. damage to these senors, or replacement of compete rim and wheels without reinstallation of sensors will cause light to come on. if nothing was changed, possible long life battery in tire senors is bad.

2005 Chrysler Town & Country Service tire system soon light coming on after new tires have been put on, pressure checked & tires balanced?

Maybe when you change the tires they remove or broke one or the four sensors located inside the rim or wheel, at the inside of the valve, this sensors transmit the low pressure to the computer, and if one, or all, are removed or damaged, computer will register it at as a low pressure tire

I put custom rims on and now the low tire light comes on and it dosent reset what can I do to fix this problem

The low tire pressure monitor (TPMS) is part of the valve stem on the rims of vehicles with TPMS. You will need to install the original valve stems from your original wheels onto your new rims and then the problem should go away. If you no longer HAVE all the original stems (spare can be included! if your TPMS monitored the spare, you have to have it and it has to be aired up!), you will have to BUY original or equivalent stems, then havet hem reprogrammed to match the car (this can be done with a TPMS tool or a factory scantool).

There are no other solutions. That or you can disable the TPMS system readout on some vehicles by removing a fuse or using a disable procedure in the owners manual or factory service manual

The service engine light is on on my 2005 mitsibushi endeavor.

There could be a couple of different reasons. These are the top 2 that I have seen if your air pressure is good.
1: You may have bent a rim on the inside or out, going over something in the road at high speeds, this happened to me. I hit a peice of wood on the freeway the rim is fine except for the small dent on the inside of the rim. The dealer said that was the cause of my Light on in the dash and I had to replace it with a new rim.

2: Have you, or do you have fix a flat in any of your tires? This can actually make the sensor in that tire go bad.
