Question about 1999 Honda Accord
I have recently noticed the road noise getting louder over the last few months. Was thinking that this could be due to alignment after taking snow tires off. oise has gotten worse over the past week. Noise appears to be coming from the transmission or transaxle. What could be the cause of this noise?
According to the mechanic I took my car to, the noise was due to a rear wheel bearing. He said they replaced it. The noise is gone.

Automatic or manual? May be low transmission fluid, or (less likely) bad CV joint. Have mechanic get it up on the lift and check for leaks, then spin the tires, see if the noise will manifest itself.
