Driver's window goes up but not up.

I'm guessing the window goes down but not up? You will need to access the back of the window switch to start. Then with a test lig check for power on the tan with lt. Blue and the white with black wire with the switch in the up position. If there is power on both of those wires the switch is bad.

2001 NISSAN MAXIMA LEFT REAR POWER WINDOW GOES DOWN BUT NOT UP; SWAPPED SWITCH FROM ANOTHER CAR WINDOW GOES UP BUT NOT DOWN?

The Window regulator motor is probably bad. it most likely has enough power to lower the window but not enough to bring it back up. have the door panel removed and the mechanism inspected. that should clear up your problem

Power window goes up but not down

That tells me the switch is faulty. The switch uses the same power and ground wires in, and reverses the connection out depending on which way the switch is pushed.

Need help with 1972 dodge dart Door power windows

not sure what you need power goes to the master window switch then to the drivers window motor then the drivers switch that goes to the passenger side in a series so the drivers switch for the passenger side can be bad causing the passenger window to be inop of work up from one and down from the other

I have a 2009 dodge avenger that the front passenger window goes down but it doesnt go back up. I checked power at the motor & had power going both up & down. I thought it was the motor but I...

It may be a bad Power Window Switch, if the Power Window Motor goes up and down when you ran power leads to it but doesn't work with the switch, than the switch is bad. Replace the power window switch and it should work fine.

Every time i start my 98 buick regal ls my drivers window goes down

The only wiring schematic I could find for your car is for the 2000 Buick Regal, but I hope this helps,
since it gave me a reason why starting a car would cause the driver's power window to
go down, and no other window in the car - it has a special circuit component
(the "Express Down Module").

Its possible that the Express Down Module in the power window switch circuit has failed. This
module latches the "Express Down" switch in the "made" state until released by the "Express
Down Module." If the Express Down Module is latching the Express Down switch when it
shouldn't (at power-up) instead of when it should (at the window "down" limit), then the driver's
window would lower when the driver starts the car. The way to tell if this is the problem is to
note how fast the driver's windows goes down - if it goes down ALL THE WAY, then you know
that the "Express Down" circuit is involved (and therefore suspect the Express Down Module).
If the driver's window only lowers part of the way, then the Express Down circuit is exonerated.
See the various components of the driver's power window circuitry in the
2000 Buick Regal power window circuit schematic below.

2002 Ford Explorer passenger power window problem

Check the fuse panel first, after that check your fuse relays under the hood, if not then it might be a wiring problem.

Passenger window doesn't go up, it only goes down.

Unfortunately, this is a hit or miss problem with your generation of Taurus window motors. I am assuming it is Power windows. If it is not Power windows it could have come of track and/or hit a snag. To get a better look you will need to remove the door panel by the screws in the door handle,etc.. and clips around the frame of the door panel. Once removed, there will be a a few places to see what is actually happening when you try to roll the window up.. If it is power windows the true work is rolling UP the window,as gravity is what rolls it down. If you SEE the motor spinning but the window is stationary, you have a snag. If it isnt spinning you can get a new motor from a dealer or even a junkyard. If it is Manual windows.. You SHOULD HOPEFULLY see where and how the window is catching and not rolling up.. hope this helps and good luck!

Windows won't work

Your power feed to the window switch panel is a big wire loom that goes through the driver door. Check the connection at the door jamb. I've seen the plug slowly come apart just from the door opening and closing. You should have a power window fuse at the fuse block under the dash as well. The power to all the windows goes to the main switch at the driver door first then goes to the rest of the windows. Hope this helps.
