Question about 1995 Chevrolet Caprice Classic
THE DISTRIBUTOR IS MOUNTED BEHIND THE WATERPUMP. BUT FIRST THING FIRST! MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE THE WIRES ROUTED CORRECTLY, INCORRECT ROUTING ALONE WILL CAUSE HESITATION WITH ACCELERATION!

Not sure what engine you have in your car? If you have the V8 then I think you should have a cap and rotor. If so change them. The V6 may just have a coil pack. Just follow your wire from the plug and the other end either goes to a cap or a coil pack. Did you replace your fuel filer? If not then do so and if that doesn't help I would perform a fuel pressure test to make sure the fuel pump is working at the proper pressure.
