Turns over seems no fuel after a few trys it starts

Well, Id reccommend checking your battery, alternator, fuel filter, and if that looks all good, you should try replacing your spark plugs. If you think its strictly a gas problem you could try putting some addatives in your fuel. Theres this stuff called Heet. used to remove water or buildup in your fuel. If your alternator is going downhill, I've had a similar problem. Hope this helps. It probably just needs a little tlc tuneup

You need to replace the alternator, it may be charging the battery enough to start the vehicle for a few days, but once the battery runs low, it cant recharge the battery, would have the alternator tested, but i'm pretty sure that is your problem. Hope this helps...

I need to know what wires go where from the alternator plug to ? I have a four wire plug. 1991 GMC K2500.

you need a generator not alternator . the generator makes volts with out external aid. a alternator must have 12 volts coming into plus a less then battery voltage command signal thats what two wires are for and one for battery gauge /light the other cant remember .

The pivot bolt on my alternator for 2003 Toyota Echo is loose

Cover? Are you refering to a "bushing"? Maybe that is why the dealer cannot find the part. They probably have no clue what you are talking about. Ask them to show you an exploded view of the alternator and alternator mountings, or print a copy of it for you. It would probably be easy to determine what part is missing if you have a picture of what parts are SUPPOSED to be there. Then the dealer's part explosion will have numbers to identify each part. If you can tell them which number you need, they can probably get it for you.

There are many parts like this that are not shown or even discussed in the service manuals. Then sometimes there are parts shown in the service manuals that will have a different name for them than the description in the parts catalog, which just adds to the confusion. So, I call the dealers and have them fax me parts explosions. Then I figure out the number for the part I need and call them with the number. The counter people usually have no clue what I am talking about, but when I give them the number, they can look it right up and get the part for me.

Won't crank

there should be a relay called "neutral/park relay" in relay box. If it is broken or if it cant get electrical signal from your brake pedal or shifter, it wont allow you to start car.

find that relay, remove it, check it by supplying power to pins numbered 85 and 86 and try to hear instant click sound. if no sound relay is broken.

if relay is ok you need to check for wires coming from shifter and brake pedal switches.

Ticking sound and engine won't start

Most likely it's a battery problem. Either your battery is almost dead, or just doesn't have a good connection. If there is a lot of corrosion on your battery, pour a 12oz CocaCola on it. That will eat the corrosion away. If that's not the case try wiggling the positive battery cable (if it's loose the battery may not have a full charge and need to be jumped or recharged). If that doesn't work try jumping the car, if the car jumps with no problems you definitely have a battery problem. It could be the terminals are corroded or not connected tight enough or the alternator is bad, if the terminals are not tight or are corroded the alternator may still be good but just cant get the charge back to the battery). If you determine it is not the battery or alternator and trying to jump the vehicle doesn't work I would investigate the starter and the distributor. Good Luck!

They should be able to determine what you need with the VIN number or Alternator size?? The problem with the dealer is if they order 2 and one is wrong, they cant just send it back, they have to keep it for a year, or more. If they are cheap, just order and buy both.
