Question about 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe Limited

Open Question

Santa fe 2007 check engine light took to dealer for repair. was not even covered under extended warranty even though it was a senser repaid, the warranty does NOT mean fuel sensor. I was charged ^*( for repair and replacement, and went to pick it up and light was still on when cranked it up. sensor was bad they said on 2nd sensor and I refused to pay again for their assessment so they agree to pay for the part of &90. needless to say 8 days later the sensor went out again and I simply drive around with the light on. is there a simple fix? it appears when i remove the seat that if I had the proper tool I could change it my self with only a 2 wire connection accesible under the back seat.

FC P1529 means "Check TCM"

  • the vehicle is stuck in 3rd gear failsafe, this is what happens when there is a trans fault, but you made a big mistake.
  • you replaced the wrong sensor you put in a vehicle speed sensor wich calculates the rpm and speed of vehicle,,
  • your problem is an input and out put speed sensor wich is also located on top of the trans these sensors measure the speed of the input and out put shafts inside of the trans mission,,
  • you probably will not be able to get these sensors aftermarket, dealer item only i think

There is a very good chance the Crankshaft Position Sensor needs replaced. The CKP is what I replace the most for no spark on the 2.4 engine. It is behind the timing belt cover mounted above the crankshaft sprocket. Sometimes they just fail because the sensor was a bad part, other times teeth shear off of the timing belt and get in the wrong place and break the sensor.

yes this is a warranty item as it relates to the emission purge system ( pressure test for gas tank ). but before you go make sure your gas cap is tight (3 clicks) sometimes after getting fuel a loose gas cap will trip the purge solenoid valve to think there is a leak.

2007 Hyundai Santa Fe - Replacing fog light

hi have not had pleasure of this on santa fe yet? but will try to help dependant of which side o/s or n/s ? i would first remove the screws holding the front of the under engine plastic cover/shield and drop down sufficient to gain view/access? to the rear of fog lamp then if a cover is on? try turning anti clock to remove? or if rubber cover pull off? then the bulb and clip should be visible? unplug the wire from bulb then the spring clip holding bulb in place normally just sring the 2x top ends together and swing down/clear to remove bulb? refit new bulb correctly! pay attention to position old bulb positioned? then clip securely and re connect wire at this stage it would be best to ensure bulb works ?? before you re assemble all else? wish you luck and hope this helps with your problem ?
