Repair CV Joint/transaxle on 2002 Dodge Stratus

you don't have to remove the lower ball joint or even loosen it. Just pop the tie rod off and take out the two strut bolts but be easy it don't jump out and stab the boot, it can come out that way because if you have one in my case the lower control arm ain't coming out very easy.

How do you change a front axle u-joint on a 2006 3500 dodge ram

you will have to change both sides to start with. I'm doing this on a 1996 ram 1500. first, put the truck on 2 wheel drive or neutral for traction, raise vehicle, i got a lift it's easy, remove both wheels, calipers and rotors. unlock the driveshaft nut (cotter pin) and unbolt that nut. on the inside of the hub, first mark the relation on one side between the yoke and the shaft, then, there is 3 bolts holding the hub in, remove them. next, more cotter pins, upper and lower ball joint and tie-rod end need to come out, so, unscew the tie-rod end first and seperate it with ball joint seperator. do the same for the upper and lower ball joints. seperate the spindle and the axel should come out. the rest is standard procedure to change a ball joint.
let me know if it's enough info or if you want more please.

My tires are wearing on the inside like my last car i replaced the outer tie rod ends and ball joints. But on my chrysler 300 2002 model ther looks to be more parts that look like ball joints than just one...

Your toe-in is off. Maybe tie rod ends or may just need alignment. If you take it for alignment, they will tell you if any joints are worn out.

How do I replace the upper ball joints in my 2002 Ford Explorer?

The upper ball joints are replaceable without replacing the control arms. Use Moog K80008 ball joints and a ball joint press.

How to take apart an inner tirod end passenger side for 2002 dodge caravan ?

Use a tie-rod 'pickle fork'. Brace the tie rod with wood against a solid surface, use the pickle fork to remove the tie rod end, out of the center link. (Cotter pin, and nut removed first, of course!)

Here is a photo of a pickle fork,

(Your local auto parts store should have one. They don't cost very much. Make sure it is a tie rod pickle fork, and Not a ball joint pickle fork. Look at both at the store, and you'll see what I mean)
