Question about Lexus ES 300
First try reset procedure:---
To reset the ECU , disconnect the battery negative terminal and plug in back in 30 min.If itys not helping then,ABS Modulator and Accumulator. This are the two parts which can cause this problem.
The modulator is the unit responsibile for "pumping" the brakes for you. Attached to it is the Accumulator, which is a metal cylinder which holds the high pressure fluid on standby when your car is on.----------
Get the brake fluid and brake lines checked. If the brake fluid is low, this problem can occur. If the brake line is blocked this problem can occur. -------- Also get the wheel sensors checked. When this sensor fails you will just not have abs brakes you will still have conventional brakes . You should be fine to drive it to the shop to have it fixed unless it's running rough or transmission not shifting correctly. The ABS sensor needs to be pressed out and replaced. Most probably your problem is abs wheel sensor.this sensor is got shorted. and its causing the problem. But if sensor checked out ok, then get the ABS module scanned. In scanning the error code will be retrieved and as per that error code you can replace the faulty part.------- This should help.thanks.Helpmech.
