You have a vacuum line off your heater control in the dash. if someone worked on it and knocked it off without knowing it needs to be taken apart and looked at.

Jeep vent circulation

High- would be blower speed & not related to bend doors positions

Have to find out the location of all Vent Blend Doors, then see what
ones don't switch as they should & replace the failed ones or the
controlling item, if they are all electronic

Get a picture of the vent doors & then go under the dash & find the problem

I have a 1998 jeep grand cherokee. Recently the temp gauge has started acting up, sometimes it would work normally then it would drop then sometimes when I start the car it wont move, now my ac will only...

sounds like you have two totally separate problems...first, the temp problem sounds like the wiring that goes to the temp sensor is intermittant..the temp sensor is located on the thermostat housing and should have 2 wire plug on it..trace the wires to see if there are any breaks, worn spots, etc....
second, the problem with the vents is most likely caused by either the vacuum line that controls the vent door..or more commonly, the blend door itself...there is a kit available for upgrading the blend door that consists of replacing the old plastic door with a metal one...if you do a general search on the internet using the words "98 jeep grand cherokee blend door problem" it will giuve you several site in which they sell the parts and the insructions to install

My 2000 Grand cherokee only blows warm air from defrost or any vent, 105 to 110 on a 32 degree morning with high fan, about 10 degrees warmer on low fan. It gets warmer when it warms up outside.Engine...

This is a common problem with WJ Grand Cherokees, it's called a "Blend Door".

In the heating and cooling system you have doors that open and close to give you warm and cold air and a mix of both.

What you have is an arm that pulls a door with peg on top, the peg tends to snap off. As you said your dealer replaced the blend door or doors I would take it back as is has blend door all over it.

Yahoo and youtube "jeep grand cherokee blend door repair"

I had a 02 limited blend doors issues (note the issueS) and was lucky to have it still covered.

I do hope this helped.

My 2002 grand jeep cherokee is blowing out hot air on passenger side and cold air on driver side can u help also the heated seat on driver side has stopped working is this linked

Thats your blend air door. . .I had the same thing with my 02 Grand Cherokee and I think ALOT of other people have as well. I took it to the dealer and ended up costing right around $800, because they have to pull the dash apart to get to the blend air door.

2002 Grand Cherokee heater warm on drivers side cold on passanger

generally this is caused by a "blend door " motor (actually a vacuum control) not working. I don't have a diagram on this but if you watch the motors mounted to the heater box under the dash, and operate the control, you likely will find one not moving (check all positions including a/c)
