Hi.

P1111 is not a fault code. It is a special designator Jaguar uses meaning system ready, drive cycles completed after the last fault event.

Four digit codes are brand specific. Code 1111 for Nissan is for a problem with the intake valve timing control solenoid valve for bank one. Bank one is the cylinder head with cylinder one.
You'll need a shop manual to get the testing procedures to check out the valve and the circuit to the computer.

That is not a universal code. Certain codes have been set aside for manufacturers to assign there own meanings to. P 11 11 is one of those. Need make and model to help on this one

P1111 Code

The P1111 unlike the P1000- the P1111 means the ECM has completed a drive cycle with no faults stored. The P1000 means the ECM has not yet completed the drive cycle. They are basicly drive cycle readiness codes doing a system check...this is a natural code..not to worry its checking the car all over between drive cycles for any malfunctions..
sorry i missed u online but the code is nothing to worry about...

C1174,P1111, C1175, and P1603 code in Jaguar Xtype what does it mean? My daughters car had the ABS and check engine light come on. Took it to AUTO ZONE and these codes came up.

ok the p1111 code is a system check readiness code...the other codes fuel and air mixture codes....please check the upper breather hose under the engine cover...take a philips head screw driver, remove the cover,,,you will see a hose running from the valve cover to the upper intake...check this hose for any cracks...this will usually create a vacuum leak, and cuase the car to run lean or have too much air and sputter...if you want me to send the code meanings I can but on these cars this is usually the issue...Keep me posted

What does the service code p1111 mean?

Copied directly from a Jaguar forum:

P1111 is not a fault code. It is a special designator Jaguar uses meaning system ready, drive cycles completed after the last fault event. P1000, on the other hand, means system not ready, or drive cycles not completed after the last recorded fault event.

Some OBD II Basics - All P0xxx codes are generic and uniform across all manufacturers and mean the same on every car. All P1xxx codes are manufacturer specific codes. You cannot use a generic code chart to analyze P1xxx codes for a Jaguar.

Next time your car displays an engine fault light, try reading the codes then. If you have a CEL illuminated and the only code read is P1000 or P1111, then you probably have a fault that generic code readers cannot see. Could be a chassis code, for example.

One last thing - Neither P1000, nor P1111 can be erased.

Hope this helps you.
