Question about 1992 Buick Riviera
How do I get under the hood. The cable snapped and I can't get it opened to replace the cable.
You can also remove the grill from the outside with a screwdriver and go through there. My car rusted shut and that is what I had to do. There are some small black screws around the edges of the grill, I believe there are only 4. Remove those and the grill pops right off.

Your're going to have to try and reach up from under the front bumper. You might have to remove a plastic skirt under the front of the engine, but you can try and pull the mechanical latch with either a pair of needlenose pliers, or you can try and pry aside gently with a flathead screwdriver. Try to picture where it is by looking through the grill, than just snake your arm up the inside. hey its better than breaking your grill or screwing up you hood right? good luck
