We have a 2001 Tracker. I believe that I did replace a headlight - it's really just a fancy BULB that I think twists-out of the housing from the rear. Pretty sweet not having to pull a big old glass headlamp. Do not touch the new bulb with your bare fingers as the skin oils can shorten the life of the bulb. To change the shell of the headlight - probably similar to most vehicles - look around with a flashlight and locate the screws/clips that may be present. Some of these may be "Torx" type. You may or may not need to remove the ADJUSTMENT screws. Avoid this if possible, otherwise the light will be out of alignment and will drive you or other drivers crazy.
