The thing is, whoever hooked up the stereo would know for sure where the connected into in order to get power to the stereo. If they went off somewhere ealse other than what the factory made to be the power for the stereo it would make sense. In the accord for your year the power to the stereo and the cigarette lighter is the same fuse if it was hooked to the same wiring that came with the vehicle. They may have by accident disconnected the lighter and it's just not hooked up at all. You can check the fuse for the cigarette lighter if you would like. that fuse is in the fuse panel located in the engine compartment and will be in the number 18 position and sould be a 15 amp fuse ( see diagram of the layout of fuses below). If that fuse is bad and corrects the problem then they hooked up to another power source when they hooked up the stereo. I hope this helps you and good luck.

If it is good then you need to see if in some way that the lighter got disconnect being that it's in the smae wiring. as they were pulling wires to change out the stereo it might just have come loose to where it is hooked up at. The thing is i don't know who or how they hooked up the stereo. If needed I may be able to dupply you with a wiring diagram as to find out where they hooked the stereo into. I can be reached via email at csautomotivecars@att.net if you need anything like that. I really think that the fact that it's an aftermarket stereo that you are looking more to a wiring problem but not there to see. Fuse first then go look around at how the stereo was hooked up and is something got unplugged.

Why did my radio and my cig. lighter stopped working?

I wish I had a dollar for every time I have heard "All fuses are OK" or "I already checked the fuse" or "I know it's not the fuse"....I'd be a rich man!

When cigarette lighters quit working, 99% of the time the fuse is blown because someting got plugged into it like a defective phone charger. The other 1% of the time, it is because the lighter element is burned out or somebody essed with the wires to the cigarette lighter trying to install some kind of aftermarket equipment.

Humor me and check Fuse #9 (20 Amp) in the passenger side fuse and relay box.

1994 honda accord can't fine fuse for my cigarette ligher to replace

In earlier model vehicles, the cigarette lighter is on the same circuit as the dash lights/ radio/ interior lights. Maybe it's not labeled as cigarette lighter, try other fuses. also, there should be a fuse panel both inside dash and under the hood. Also, sometimes there can be an in-line fuse right behind the cigarette lighter.

Is there a fuse for the cigarette lighter and stereo? becasue both of them stopped working all of a sudden

yes. check the back side of the fuse plate for a diagram or check them one by one. if you draw too much power from the lighter while the stereo is blasting you can loose a fuse

My child pushed in the cigarette lighter until

you could be lucky and the fuse blew, and it could be a burned wire, check the fuse panel and replace the fuse if blown, if it blows again you have to fix the wires, and possible the cigarette lighter if it got damaged

Yes there is a fuse corresponding to this which has cut off. It is located in the car under the driver frontage.

Good luck.

Cigarette lighter and radio not working on 2002 Honda coupe

They probably share the same fuse. Sounds like cig lighter coil is shorted and "fiddling around" blew the fuse. Replace the fuse and try a different lighter coil.
