Check the blower motor resistor it is located down close to floor in heat duct passenger side towards the center it will have i believe a flat 5 wire connector going to it.Look for a melted connector you may just need a new connector. This more than likely will be the culprit.

So you're getting heat but no blower to circulate the heat, right? It's also possible the fuze is blown to the blower motor, the switch that adjusts the speed of the motor could be damaged, or its resistors that limit voltage, to control speed could be "open" (burned up). I would check many of those before replacing the fan..

The heat is controlled by a valve that allows water to circulate through the heater core. If the fan is blowing cold air, check the valve, or blow water back and forth through the heater core to clean it out.

Malibu maxx air conditioner not working

If the blower does not work in any position, including heat, the problem could be the blower motor, the resistor, or a wiring problem.
Someone would need to check the blower motor for power and ground.

My 2004 malibu does not blow hot air when in the heating position. the blower works and only blows cold air.thermostat seems fine.

What makes you think the thermostat is fine? First thing I would check is the level of your antifreeze to see if it's up to the correct level. If it is then thermostat is my next culprit and if it is in fact OK then it might be the water pump or plugged up heater core.

The problem is the blower motor speed control resistor, it is located near the blower motor in the housing.
