Get the number to enter on the exterior drive door.

You need to get the number off of the cars computer and call the cars manufacturer. It may be just as easy to go to the dealership. The can get the computers number by plugging in the diagnostic comp. They can also get the code from the company faster.

1992 PLYMOUTH ACCLAIM-was driving car stalled mech saying possible engine computer going out. fuel is not getting to engine

it could be a fuel pump relay located on the drivers side inner fender, fuel pump(should hear the pump run while cranking)as there is a 2 second prime when the key is turned could be the pickup coil in the distributer(didn`t say what motor is in this).the computer could be the problem also but not a common problem.these need to be checked out before replacing the computer.when the computer is replaced there is a number on a tag stuck to the computer that is the computer number to get the proper one.

I have 1995 jeep grand cherokee. bought used computer for it. can i program myself or do i need to take to dealer.

If the numbers on the two computer are the same, it should work. If they are different numbers, you may need to take it to a mechanic shop with the proper equipment needed to reprogram it.
I am curious as to why you bought a new computer; Did the old ecu die and not want to light up the check engine light or start the jeep any longer? If so, you could've had it repaired instead of buying another one and now possibly having to pay even more to reprogram it.

I need a new BCM but don't know the part number.

Hi, it is best to get these at a salvage yard. They will know which one fits your car, and the price is much better. The BCM rarely fails, so a used one is quite reliable. There is also a used on on ebay here:
This post includes an ID number that you can check against your BCM: ID# 10293828

When setting the ignition timing on a 1991 ford ranger 3.0 were dose the rotor need to point after number one or before number one? the engine is on top dead center

Dead on #1, It should be computer controled timing so if you get it close (not 1 tooth off) the computer will take care of it, Good luck, Gary

I need to replace the computer in my 99 z24 chevy cavalier how do i get part number

year, make, model and VIN are what you need (engine size) and any submodel information.

Will have to transfer the EPROM over to the new computer that you get either from the dealer or Autozone, maybe.

Replaced my computer on my 1998 cadillac deville and now it's telling me I have an anti-theft problem and it won't start - now what

If done at a Cadillac dealer it would not be doing that now. The PCM will need to be flashed with the VIN number of your car to operate again. ANY TIME THE COMPUTER IS CHANGED THE VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER NEEDS TO BE ENTERED INTO THE prom IN THE COMPUTER

Need to find the computer module on the 2006 Mercury Mariner

Located on passenger side. Tou need to look under the dash then turn to look under the console. You will see a black box PAT unit around 8 or 10 inches long with fairly large numbers printed on its side. These are the 5 numbers you will need
