Welcome to Fixya

Sounds like that there is no fuel getting to the cylinders. Check/inspect the fuel injector relay. Replace it if possible.

Thank you for using Fixya!

My 2000 cadillac deville just shuts off periodically an fires right bk up sometimes then sometimes it wont can anyone tell me wat this could be

When it won't start right back up , check an see what's missing ! Spark - pull a plug wire an hold it close to something metal better yet put a screw driver in the plug wire end an hold close to a metal part of the engine an have someone crank over the engine ! Then if there is spark ,spray some stating fluid into the throttle plate . if it tries to start you have a fuel problem . If there is no spark could have a bad ignition control module , or coil or the crankshaft position sensor may be going bad ! Does your caddy have a tachometer ? See if it moves while cranking , if not bad crank sensor !

Crankshaft Position Sensor

As the main sensor the computer uses to calculate the timing of the spark, it can cause a no spark condition. Or sometimes if not working right, the engine won't stay running-it will start and quickly shut off. You cannot really tell if it is working or not, without testing the circuit (3 wires usually-a ground wire, a signal wire to computer, and a 5 volt reference signal from the computer).
If you have no spark on a spark plug wire, it could be the crank sensor or circuit, but without testing it is just a guess.

I have replace the spark plugs, wires, coil, crank...

You replaced all kinds of parts for no reason. Do you really think, at this time, that even one item was your problem.
I would suggest going to a repair shop,as you already spent more than, that would have cost,in the first place.

I would be thinking that there is a good chance that you need to be checking out replacing the computer, if you aren't getting any communication with the proper scan tool then the computer isn't communicating with anything in the vehicle...... I would have guessed first off that the ignition control module might be bad but that is obviously part of the computer also, I would be looking in that direction.
