I know people have posted problems with getting the code to work, but I don't even have the code. I was wondering if all the cars have the same one, and if so, if someone could give it to me. I'd greatly appreciate it!

Look in your owner's manual
booklet for your radio anti-theft code. The code is printed on a small
card (similar to a credit card) and included with your owner's manual.
If you can find the code, skip to Step 5.
If you cannot find the code, you'll need to retrieve it.
Turn your ignition off to begin
retrieving your radio code. Press and hold the "1" and "6" preset
buttons on your radio. Turn your ignition on.
Write down the code displayed on
your radio. The display will flash with two numbers: one beginning with
a "U" and one beginning with a "L." Write down both numbers (beginning
with the "U" number), and then disregard the "U" and the "L."
This number (eight digits) is your radio serial code. You'll need it to retrieve your radio anti-theft code.
Contact Honda to retrieve your radio anti-theft code. You'll need your 17-digit Vehicle
Identification Number, found beneath the driver's side of the
windshield and your radio serial code. Honda's customer service number
is (800) 999-1009. Provide the representative with the information to
acquire your radio anti-theft code.

Turn your ignition to "Acc" or "On" to power
on your radio. Enter your radio anti-theft code using the preset
buttons at the bottom of your radio. For example, if your anti-theft
code is "55512," you would press the "5" button three times, then the
"1" button, then the "2" button. This will unlock and reset your Honda
these are an anti-theft radio and if the power to them is interupted then the code must be re-entered to allow the radio to work.if you don`t have the code written in the owners manual then you will have to get in touch with the dealer in person to have them get the code for your radio.
When you take the battery cables loose from an anti-theft system, You would place a nine volt (9V) battery across the positive and negative cables to hold the memory chip in the systems. This allows you to remove the battery for a period of time longer than a few minutes. The system (anti-theft) is designed with a couple of capacitors in the system that hold the charge for a few minutes to allow changing of the battery. If the battery is removed for much longer than 30 minutes then the capacitors drain and the memory is lost in the chips.
You are going to have to go to the BMW dealer and have them re-write your system, and it will cost you about a hundred bucks. They have the plug in device that will restore the system and it is not sold to the general public. That is why it is called ant-theft, so if someone steals your radio it quits working.
to turn off the theft system, all you have to do is put the key in the door lock and lock and unlock the door, this shuts down the anti theft system, now this has nothing to do with the radio, the only way the radio would ask for the code is if it was removed or the battery unhooked, anyway try the unlocking of the door even try the passenger door, hope this helps.
you need the anti-theft code for the radio....the radio should safe theft lock or something similiar to deter theft.....unfortunately you will need to pull the radio to get the serial number off the radio and than beg and plead with the dealer to give you the code without paying for it......you may want to check the owners manual for the radio code......some past owners sometimes will write the code in the book......
